Funeral Tradition and Religion

Mingyan Funerals upholds Christian funeral tradition in ceremonies. Pastor Frank Kwok will conduct funeral service in a Christian formality and nonreligious funeral services as requested by the family.

However, we have a deep understanding of the importance of the religious ritual for some families. So if the religious ritual is non Christian, we will endeavor to work with your funeral conductor to ensure that all the arrangements are met. We simply follow your instruction and liaise with the relevant clergy or civil celebrant, to ensure everything runs smoothly as planned, whether it’s order of service, eulogies, or music, etc.

Alternatively, some people may wish to construct an order of service and speak without the aid of a celebrant or a clergy. If you feel comfortable in doing so, it can be quite a touching and intimate tribute to your loved one. The only limitations to consider are time constraints and how you feel. Regardless of what choice you have made, we are determined to make the funeral of your loved one a most memorable and meaningful event in your life.
